Outdoor Treadmill
An outdoor treadmill is a weatherproof treadmill designed for open-air installation. Many are self-powered - driven by the user’s own stride rather than an electric motor - so they need no mains power, which makes them practical for parks and outdoor gyms where wiring is impractical.
Self-powered “curved” designs are the most common outdoor type. For how they work and how to choose one, see our guide to outdoor treadmills, part of the wider outdoor cardio equipment family.
